Tony Villa

Tony Villa joined OneShield in 2024 and leads the company's transformation into an AI native core systems provider. With nearly three decades of experience scaling insurance software businesses, he has a proven track record of building world-class teams that turn customer collaboration into continuous innovation.

Before joining OneShield, he served as EVP of Product Management and Marketing at Applied Systems, where he helped sell the company to Vista Equity Partners. He then spent 15 years as CEO of Policy Processing Systems Corporation (PPSC), a spinout of Applied, where he modernized its core systems business and launched two new subsidiaries, one in systems integration and one in business process outsourcing. The result was tenfold growth and a sale to a publicly traded software company.

He earned a law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis. He serves on the boards of Dream Payments and Transco Products.

Outside of work, Tony loves spending time with his family, whether that's playing pickleball, traveling, or cheering on college football and basketball teams from the stands.
