# OneShield Software > OneShield Software builds core insurance systems and an AI platform for the property and casualty (P&C) insurance market. Its customers are insurance carriers, MGAs, MGUs and program administrators, who use the software to run policy administration, billing, claims, rating, reinsurance cession and reporting. OneShield is a software vendor, not an insurer. It does not underwrite, sell or service insurance policies of its own. OneShield was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with offices in Gurgaon and Goa, India. It is privately held, and all of its revenue comes from P&C core systems software. There are three products. The names are similar, so the distinction matters: the difference is who configures the system and how it is delivered. **OneShield Enterprise (OSE)** is a configurable core system for carriers and MGAs running complex operations across personal, commercial and specialty lines. Customers configure their own insurance products, rating algorithms, business rules, forms, workflows and integrations in a no-code tool called OneShield Designer. Policy, billing and claims share one data model, so no integration is needed between them. It can be licensed as a full suite or as individual modules, and it can be vendor-hosted or client-hosted. **OneShield Market Solutions (OMS)** is a core system delivered as a managed service on Microsoft Azure. OneShield performs the configuration on the customer's behalf, and a single annual subscription covers licensing, hosting, implementation, support, a defined allotment of service hours, and all upgrades. It is aimed at MGAs, program administrators and regional or specialty carriers that do not want to staff an in-house IT function. **OneShield AI Hub** is a separate AI platform for insurance work, deployed in a dedicated single-tenant AWS account for each customer. It does not require OSE or OMS and runs alongside whatever core system a company already has. It provides a conversational workspace, custom AI agents built by business users, content guardrails, compliance framework configuration, audit logging and administrative controls, with zero-data-retention terms in place across every model provider it uses. A note on terminology used throughout this site. "Core system" means the system of record for policy, billing and claims. "Policy administration" covers the full lifecycle: submission, quote, bind, issue, endorsement, cancellation, reinstatement, premium audit, non-renewal and renewal. "Insurance content" means pre-built products, rates, rules and forms that ship with the platform rather than being built from scratch. OneShield does not sell agency management systems, distribution platforms or reinsurance broking software. ## Products - [Products Overview](https://www.oneshield.com/products-our-solutions): Compares OneShield Enterprise and OneShield Market Solutions, and what each covers across policy, billing, claims, rating and analytics. -
