Dragon Designer

Implementation teams use Dragon Designer to configure virtually every aspect of the Dragon application, including workflow, product definition, object model, as well as interfaces to legacy and third-party systems. Its spreadsheet paradigm makes it easy to learn, and built-in data loaders allow carriers to leverage existing reference, rating, or forms data. All changes made via Dragon Designer are versioned, time-stamped, and associated to a software-change-request (SCR) number or release label for a complete audit trail.

In addition, unlimited configurable user roles are supported, which can specify access by both subject area (rating, underwriting, user interface, etc.) as well as by product, state, or filing as examples. Finally, all changes made via Dragon Designer are versioned, time-stamped, and associated to a user-session for a complete audit trail.

Perhaps the most important benefit is the complete transparency of the system through the use of the tool. Dragon Designer provides the ability to export whole product definitions to a pre-defined “workbook” where the object model, rates, rules, list values, and more is populated. This ability to self-document and provide an up-to-the-minute view of the system provides many unique benefits, including the ability to rapidly replicate requirements for new products or states, generate supporting documentation for QA to use within their test suite, and the ability to know exactly what rules are executing at a specific point in a workflow.
