Montpelier US Insurance Company
Montpelier US Insurance Company (MUSIC), is a start-up created in 2007. The company was determined to hit the ground running. Montpelier provides a broad base of coverages to a wide variety of risks that would have limited options due to the size, nature or unique hazard. The idea was to start slow and grow exponentially in order to give MUSIC the time to get the right systems and people in place while nurturing the business and making the process as painless as possible.
Flexibility
MUSIC needed to find a system to handle a rapidly growing business, deliver the flexibility to manage the business nimbly, and get the company up and running as soon as possible. MUSIC chose OneShield Dragon as a key component of their overall architecture as it was the best product available from a flexibility standpoint. Fully-dedicated programmers are not needed with Dragon's flexible toolkit. The company is able to act quickly and tweak product features as necessary and is able to make changes with Dragon in a very short period of time.
Rapid Growth
It was important for MUSIC to work with a vendor that would serve as a reliable partner as well as provide the cutting-edge technology necessary to achieve strategic goals. They needed to be as efficient as possible to support their agency force as timely as possible. In order for MUSIC to have the ability to expand nationwide, having a top-performing system in place within the first few months of 2008 was critical.
