Hanover Insurance Group
Hanover Insurance Group is a multi-billion dollar financial services company that underwrites and markets a wide range of property and casualty coverages in all 50 states. Given their size, Hanover’s business processing environment is complex with multiple systems, from enterprise-wide web services and web-based applications to legacy billing and claims systems. The goal was to replace an old legacy system with improved and more flexible processing capabilities to reduce the time in the submission/quote/policy issuance lifecycle. However, the challenge was in allowing the user community to seamlessly move between existing applications at Hanover while simultaneously sharing data among those platforms.
Automated Workflows – Hanover significantly improved internal workflows through seamless, real-time integration to a flexible policy administration system. This allowed Hanover to have multiple entry points to the administration system, depending on the type of end user, while supporting real-time data sharing to eliminate redundant data entry and storage. All while preserving beneficial legacy assets.
Increased Service Levels – By seamless integration of multiple systems, critical data is delivered to the Underwriters in real-time, enabling the underwriting group to turnaround complex CPP quotes in hours, rather than days.
Competitive Product – With the flexibility and configurability of Dragon, Hanover was able to add new features to their CPP product to improve its competitiveness in the marketplace.
Our internal staff is pleased that our turnaround time to agents has added operational efficiency, reduced touch time in the process, and streamlined workflows. We are providing outstanding service to our agency partners for a commercial package policy.
